This tune only uses three chords, so it’s a great one for beginner to intermediate players. I played the bar chords with my thumb on the low E in an F-shape sliding up the neck (Hendrix-style), but you can also use regular bar chords or power chords if that feels better. The main thing is locking into the groove and the feel.
For the whammy dip in the intro and bridge, I actually edited it in Logic Pro since I was using AmpliTube and didn’t mic an amp or use pedals. Normally, you’d get that effect with a pitch-shift or whammy pedal.
This video was sponsored by Airline Guitars – They sent me their H-77 Sunburst to feature, and I’ve got to say, I really loved it. Amazing vintage-style tone, plays great and looks absolutely beautiful. It comes with three Gold Foil humbickers (splittable), which gives you seven pickup combinations in total, each with its own switch.
