Screaming Suicide

This was a fairly easy song to transcribe except for some parts that were kind of washed amidst the wah and gain. Really had to think hard and try to get it right to the best of my abilities.

There are open pull-offs in the first solo and when I checked out the video for this song, Kirk was actually higher up on the fretboard. I figured maybe he was just playing whatever he wanted during the video shoot. That positioning didn’t really add up to what I was hearing in the recording.

In the second solo, the troll lick at the ending – there’s a bunch of tri-tones and what sounded to me like a chromatic run at the end. That was really buried with gain and wah. Sounds cool though. Signature Kirk Hammett, always ready to throw in a question mark and make us go “wtf”. Back to some classic Metallica. We are ready to take your suggestions for the next video.
