Killing in the Name

Hey guys! I had a blast tabbing out this RATM hit. Checked out some live videos on YouTube and caught some of Morello’s fingering. I also took a listen to an isolated track to get a feel for exactly what he was playing in the studio. It sounds a little different than his live approach, to my ears. I stuck more to what I’m hearing in the isolated track. The first refrain is what I’m hearing from the studio take, and the second refrain is live. They are slightly different and you see what I mean. Morello bends the note on the 4 beat of measure 91 live, however it sounds like he slides into it in the studio. I personally like the feel of sliding into it and giving it some vibrato but if you feel like bending from the 12th fret, G string, and milking that note, go for it! Have fun with the tune!
