The General Free Lesson Video

Hey Everyone! This is my transcribed interpretation of Guns N’ Roses latest song, The General, performed at the Hollywood Bowl on November 2nd. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s out there on YT captured on various smart phones. Which is how I picked out the instrumentation in the song. Keep in mind, there is no studio release yet from GN’R. There may be some improvisation in their live take so the upcoming official release will differ I am sure. Just for this week, I wanted to do something a little different and I thought it would be fun. Don’t worry, I am still working on your requests! I really like the direction they took with this song. Richard Fortus parts are really creative and Slash is doing what he does best with the signature wah stuff and slitherly leads. What did you think of the new song? And Slash’s new partnership with Magnatone Amps? More Guns content in the future? Leave a comment below!

Isolated TRACKS (mp3)

Here are the drums, bass and other background tracks to jam along to The General. I've also included all of my isolated guitar tracks in case you really want to hear what's going on. Isolated tracks are normally very difficult to find online, and can be very helpful in cracking a difficult solo tab.
