Money for Nothing

I’ve always wanted to play the guitar on the MTV.  Thanks for your awesome requests.  I had a lot of fun doing this tune!  Few notes about the song.

Though I use a pick more often than my fingers, I really wanted to nail this one.  I checked out a lot of live videos and while it’s difficult to see with cameras constantly changing angles and older video quality, I studied what Knopfler was doing as closely as possible.  In the chorus, Knopfler changes chords and hits open strings in between his changes.  Myself on the other hand, I tend to keep my fingers on the fretboard with the power chords.  Other or is fine.

For the tone settings in this video, I used the Money for Mark preset found in Amplitube 5 max.  And made some slight modifications.  If you are unfamiliar with Amplitube software, I recommend trying it out.  I’ve been using it for my videos and the tones I’m getting are fantastic.  Links to this are in the description.  As well, I took the screenshots of my settings and shared them on my Patreon page.  Links are also there as well.
