Hey guys! Special thanks go out to patrons who voted for this Deep Purple hit. I had a load of fun doing this along with my good friend and shred extraordinaire, Jason Sheppard, who played his amazing rendition of the organ solo on his Ron Kirn signature guitar. This was a really fun collaboration and Jason was super professional to work with. Not to mention just an all around cool and down to earth person. For the Hammond organ in this track, I am using IKMultimedia’s Hammond B-3X software. It sounds killer and has some really cool sounds in there including a Highway Star preset. I was blown away by this and immediately used it. There are also links in the description if you are interested in checking that out for your own Hammond organ projects by chance. This project took a ton of work and I looked closely at some of Ritchies hand positioning but he never plays the solo the same way live. So I took my own best educated guesses there and took a listen to some isolated tracks. He has a Killer tone happening in this song as well which is worth noting.
